Description
Some fairly good quality coins, showing the heads of the emperor on the obverse side whilst the reverse showing Roman gods and a very good quality Roman ladies crossbow style cloak brooch.
The brooch is a miniature version of the large style worn by the legionary troops. The brooch, like the coins is made of bronze and has much of its original gilding still remaining.
It is likely that this was given by a soldier or officer to his lady as a sign of her connection with the military.
