Description
This here is a silver drachm coin from the Sassanid/Sasanian Empire of Persia.
This coin is from the time of King Khusru II.
The obverse shows a bust wearing a mural crown with a star within a crescent on the left, right and below.
The reverse shows a fire alter flanked by 2 sides of flame with the date on the left. This is surrounded by a triple border and 4 stars within crescents.
Truly a great piece of history that would make a terrific addition to anybody’s collection.
