Description
This here is a silver drachm coin from the Sassanid/Sasanian Empire of Persia.
This coin is from the time of King Kavad I.
The obverse shows a bust wearing a mural crown with a star in the left field and crescents over each shoulder.
The reverse shows a fire alter flanked by 2 attendants and crescents to either side of the flames.
Truly a great piece of history that would make a terrific addition to anybody’s collection.
