Here is an absolutely beautiful artefact of history! A fully intact ring from nearly 2000 years ago!
This ancient Roman ring is from around the years 100AD-300AD and is made of bronze.
The ring features an oval-shaped bezel engraved with a left-facing depiction of the goddess Victory grasping a laurel crown.
The Romans used the images of both a laurel crown and the goddess Victory to symbolise triumph and glory in battle.
Truly a remarkable piece of history which as can be seen from the images has been well preserved!
This would go brilliantly in any historical collection!
