Description

This is the Iron Cross of Germany.

In WWI Emperor Wilhelm II reauthorized this medal to be given to (mostly) soldiers of the German Empire or 2nd Reich for valour, bravery in battle and other military contributions in a battlefield environment.

This one is of quite good condition though with obvious signs of it’s age, wear and tear one could expect from an over 100 year old medal.

Still it is for the most part fully intact with nice clear stamping’s of both the makers mark and material being ‘CD’ for maker Carl Dillenius in Pforzheim and ‘800’ meaning 800/1000 silver.
