German Third Reich Kriegsmarine Officer’s Dress Dagger
To be clear before I start this description in full, this particular dagger is actually a very convincing and high quality early reproduction of the real thing.
So although it still holds some history it is actually more likely to be from the 1950’s or 60’s.
That said what a beautiful blade this is! A fine example of craftsmanship.
The dagger features brass wired bound white cellulose covered grip.
A brass eagle with Swastika pommel, brass cross-guard with pres-release button and ‘fouled anchor’ , Brass scabbard with ‘lightning bolt’ design and mounts for suspension rings. 25 cm plain steel blade, double edged with double two fullers.
Truly a fine blade to be on display and would no doubt stand out amongst any enthusiast collection!
