This here is an absolutely stunning example of the French sword bayonet for the Gras rifle. With brass hilt pommel and steel crossguard – wooden grips.
The blade is still nice and sharp, retains many of it’s original quality and to top it all off is as shiny as can be!
The inscription can still be easily read on the spine of the blade.
Truly this pattern 1874 would find a most welcome place in anyone’s collection!
