Description
Quite a fine item we have here, this dagger which dates to the 1400’s AD is in excellent fully conserved condition and is free from restoration and repair.
This long dagger was found in York and would have been used as a side arm by an English archer. It still retains the end section of the scabbard as well as the metallic part of the handle which would have originally housed the wooden grip. Besides the iron handle frame, it also still retains its original thumb plate.
Truly a fantastic relic of the medieval world and would undoubtedly make for a terrific addition to any historical collection.
