Blue Sikh Cavalry Sword

Description

This is an Indian Sikh Cavalry sword. This would have been made in between the 1940’s and 1960’s.

The sword is in pretty good condition though in addition to the usual scuffs and marks there is also visible damage to the scabbard and the blade has deteriorated over time. The original pattern is still quite visible on the blade, as is some sort of Urdu inscription though as for what it says I am unsure. A brass lion head decorates the hilt. The blade is still quite shiny with both the handle and scabbard being fully intact.
