Description

This is an 11mm Steyr Mannlicher and quite a rare example of one too. This rifle was manufactured and used by the Austro-Hungarian Empire in the late 1800’s.

This one in particular is a special version and was used for teaching troops close quarter bayonet combat, making use of a spring-loaded plunger of which simulates bayonet stabbing. The condition overall is quite good with the stamping being nice and clear. Though there are certainly signs of use and age with some abrasions to the wood. Certainly a great piece for any collector of old and rare European rifles.
