Description

A fantastic example of an early 1800’s Boxlock pistol.

At 54 bore and in absolutely stunning condition, this pistol is both nice to look at and fully functioning with all parts working.

This pistol features a turn off octagonal barrel, 3″ engraved A Reed, London, Birmingham proved with simple scroll engraved frame and bag shaped chequered butt.

All is solid with the frame & mechanism of the gun.

Only minor dinks and scuffs are to be found across the body as well as 2 chips on the wood work on either side of the grip at the top end just above the trigger guard.

As for the origins of manufacturing the stamps are nice and sharply clear. This pistol was made around the 1820’s by A Reed of London

A nice little pistol that would look stunning on some lucky collectors display!
