Antique 1840’s English Percussion Shotgun

Description
This here is a back action percussion shotgun from the 1840’s. It is likely this would have been used for hunting in civilian life and was made in Sheffield.
The condition of the shotgun is quite good for the age with just a few scrapes and scuffs here and there as well as more noticeable damage to the wood above the rear-upper section of the metal plating holding the lock in place. The ‘Baker & Robinson’ stamp is nice and clear, as are the decorative markings.
